Museum Strathroy-Caradoc has a wide variety of exhibits and attractions that will capture everyone's imagination. Use the menu to the right to explore some of what the museum has to offer.

Some exhibits are physical in nature, such as the Sir Arthur Currie Memorial statue outside and the Art Space inside. Others are digital and can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. Our Virtual War Memorial honours those who gave their lives for our country in overseas wars, while other digital exhibits include tributes to hometown heroes and an exploration of the Sydenham River, which has played a vital role in the development of the Strathroy-Caradoc community.

As well, we offer programs for area school students, and through our Museum Insiders Program, we offer everyone a chance to become a part of the museum community and to stay up-to-date about exciting new ventures by Museum Strathroy-Caradoc.

Artifacts Untold: A Creative Writing Experience

What’s the Story?  Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is challenging YOU to fabricate the histories of these four artifacts found in our collection! Click here to see the artifacts or come check them out in person.

Write us a fictional short story about ONE of these FOUR objects for the chance to be published on our website. Will you choose The Dress? The Walking Stick? The Radio? The Painting? Whatever object you select, be sure to submit your entry to info@strathroymuseum.ca OR drop a physical copy off by JULY 31st. Museum staff will judge submissions and publish the winning entry for EACH artifact on our website. Short stories must be 750 words or less, and only ONE submission for each contestant will be accepted.

 Happy Writing!

P.S. Attention younger contestants! You can participate too! Click here to print a handout and draw us a picture of one of these artifacts in action! You can submit it too and see it on display.

Happy Drawing!
