There has never been a better time to get outside and explore the local community! This fall, Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is offering new guided walking tours to get you and your family outside in a safe manner and engaging with the public history of Strathroy-Caradoc!

Join one of the museum’s knowledgeable tour guides on a scenic walk through time and learn some fascinating aspects of local history!

In “Monuments and Memories,” a guided tour through the Strathroy Cemetery, you’ll learn about some of the remarkable people buried in the cemetery, explore headstone symbols and history, and hear interesting and eclectic stories from our community’s past. Cemetery tours are $10 per person.

There will also be guided tours of both downtown Strathroy and downtown Mount Brydges. In Strathroy, learn about the fascinating businesses that made up the core of the town, hear tales of wild animals, impressive architecture and theatre, and walk the path of the actors, politicians and even horses that came before. The Downtown Mount Brydges tour features stately homes, historic churches, and early fraternal organizations.  Downtown walking tours are $5 per person.

The tours vary in length from 45 – 75 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather! These tours welcome participants of all ages, but some of the content may not be suitable for small children. Parental discretion is advised.

Please check the Museum Calendar for tour dates, or contact the museum directly to arrange a private group tour.
