Museum Foundation Member Recruitment

The Strathroy Middlesex Museum Foundation is seeking new board members to help with fundraising initiatives in the community.  The Museum Foundation was formed in the year 2000 to support Museum Strathroy-Caradoc in its mission to preserve local artifacts and interpret their significance for generations to come.

The Foundation is looking for proactive individuals with strong networking abilities and the desire to create community connections through their passion for history, heritage, and culture. Knowledge of or an interest in fundraising and marketing would be an asset. Candidates would be required to commit to four meetings per year.  Usually these meetings happen once a month in the evenings and last 60 to 90 minutes. We look forward to any new ideas members bring to the discussion.

All ages are encouraged to apply. This would be a great opportunity for students needing to complete their community service hours and gain experience in a boardroom setting as it is a volunteer position. Any interested candidates are asked to contact Museum Curator Michelle Wright for an informal interview.  Michelle can be reached at 519-245-0492.
